Hi , we have a ups in the racks which needs to be connected to the network via snmp through a Cisco switch. When directly connected via Cat6 cable to the network we can access ups detail via web browser. Instead of connecting to switch directly we used a hub in between and it's getting connected . But when we try to connect via switch it's not happening. An IP address is already allocated and has been configured in the UPS. We have even tried adjusting switch port speed. Please advise how to resolve .

You can try using MibTools in Netsight Console to see if it replies with any of the profiles you have for the device. It may be that a new profile with SNMP credentials unique to the device needs to be created.

Do you see port up? What about port speed and negotiation? What about duplex? Do you see the MAC learned on the switch port? Is it in correct VLAN?
