5320 as core fabric switch

Hi

I need to have practice to Fabric Engine Architecture and I have a series of Extreme 5320 switches in warehouse.

Can i use they as core switch in Fabric Environment?

I need to build test enviroment only with all features

If that's your core, then what would be your edges?

No, you can't. Features, that are not available with most 5320 models are L3VSN, Distributed Virtual Routing (DVR) and VIST.

So you cannot setup a Virtual-IST with 5320 to run active-active LAG connections to attached devices. 

if this is not required, than you are good to go for tests.

Do model 5420M or 5420F able to run these features?

Yes 5420 can be used as dvr-leaf, vIST peer and with L3VSNs.
