How do you adjust negotiation speed on VSP-7400-48Y-8C

Upon using this command

int gigabitEthernet 1/32

speed 1000

I keep getting the error

Error: port 1/32, Can’t set admin speed on this port.

Speed cannot be set as it depends on the inserted SFP/SFP+ transceiver module.
