SLPP / SLPP GUARD - SPB topology

Hi Team,

I´m bit confused about use SLPP in SPB net.

topoSPB.jpg

I read that SLPP bpdus can´t travel trought NNI links, so you can´t enable on it, so:

In COREs:

-Enable SLPP on both cores
-Enable SLPP on desired VLANs

In EDGE switches:

- Enabled SLPP-GUARD on UNI ports

Do the BPDUs transmitted over all NNI links to EDGEs VSP? Is it right config?

Cheers!!!

Hi EF,

SLPP cannot "travel" in the backbone.

Don't activate it on NNI interfaces, neither backbone VLANs.

SLPP is per C-VLAN enabled and will be sent in the C-VLAN and encapsulated in the B-VLAN to reach the edge.SLPP will have meaning per C-VLAN, not per B-VLAN
