Schedule AP reboot?

Schedule AP reboot?

Is it possible to schedule an automatic reboot of APs? After upgrading the wireless controller firmware (which can be done on a schedule) the APs don't get the new firmware until they're rebooted. I'd like to schedule this to be done overnight, but can't work out how to do it.

Here are the specific comments I had from my Enterasys contact regarding rebooting:

"You can reboot AP’s from the controller, but this cannot be timed.

At present the only way you could accomplish this would be to write a script that will SSH to the AP and issue the command to reboot it.

I have previously used a Linux tool called Expect that via a cron job would SSH to the controllers at a specific time at night and disable a VNS, and then repeat the process in the morning to enable the VNS.

You could use expect to schedule the AP’s to reboot.

I think Expect also has a Windows version as well."

I've asked this question and the answer was no, not easily. That said I was also told that they are designed not to need periodic rebooting. If you are having an issue with one of your APs the advice is to call support and get some help resolving it.
