3912 ibeacon power setting

I am running code rev 10.41.07.0014 and working on configuring a handful of 3912 access points as iBeacons. I have successfully configured the UUID, Major, Minor, update interval, but I do not see where I can program the power setting. Can someone provide some guidance on this.

You can't select the tx power - it's fixed@1dBm.

I'm not sure if more than this is welcome. Did anybody try to have two 2.4GHz radios talking with same power level on nearby or same channel so close to each other? I don't buy it.

But what is the typical range for such beacon to be discovered at 1dBm with smartphones, by the way?
I was always thinking of beacons for hospitality and shopping venues so I assume it should do the work for a single tenant inside a venue (like a cafe, small grocery or hairdresser), price of the AP obviously doesn't make it feasible if someone would like really accurate beacon-based positioning to see in front of which shelf did you stand for that long time. 😉
