Hello all!
A couple questions regarding Extreme Identifi Wireless Controllers and AP's
1) I see under AP\Global that I can change settings for all AP's. Is this realtime? If it is realtime, can I create a template that works only when manually pushed?
2) If I can create a template, is there a way to auto apply to a new AP that goes out? Example. I'm away on vacation, a AP goes down in an area. Can a helpdesk person install a new AP that will grab settings and then I can tweak when I return from vacation?
I'm sorry if these are newb questions, I really want to maximize, automate, and standardize the settings we use for our environment.

You can set registration to allow all wireless AP's to connect (AP > Global > Registration > Security mode).

Hey David,
The AP multi-edit feature is real time.
If you head to AP > Global > Default settings, there you are able to make a common configuration for each model of AP to use when deployed.
Hope this helps.

The default is auto approval - someone must have changed it.
GUI > AP > Global > Security Mode
GUI > AP > Global > Security Mode
