If you need a real standalone AP switch over to Extreme WiNG WLAN.

Try configuring it to bridge at AP, check the box "Restart in Absense of Controller" (ap properties tab - Advanced) then pull it from the controller. I hear this works.
Although this is not a "Thick" AP, it may accomplish what you need to do.

Arabinda Mohanty,
The only standalone models were the AP3630 or AP3640, all other model AP's are made to get their configurations from a wireless appliance.
