Poor 802.11a Performance

Poor 802.11a Performance

Hi All,

As title suggests, we're experiencing poor 5.0ghz performance. ping dropouts, as in sporadic, slow performance, taking a long time to load basic web pages, specifically internal aswell so not just outside of our network

we have 2 x C5210 controllers, physical, running 10.21.01.0065. AP model 3825i

have reset all APs to defaults to rule out any settings.

on reboot of an AP the problem corrects itself.

it doesn't matter what VNS, for example, same AP, same radio but same performance issues.

if i then roam to an AP that hasnt been rebooted, the problem returns.

resetting the client does not help, we have to reboot the APs to regain decent connectivity.

were using a mixture of windows 7 and windows 10 devices. I'm starting to think that this is actually a client issue, dont worry too much for the moment, i will report back later with my findings once I've finished.

Well funnily enough during my testing at the moment, it would seems an ac client is fine which then throws a spanner in the works because now i think there is something wrong with the client?!?

signal strength is perfect too.
