Hello
We have some new accesspoints here and want to upgrade them to version 1.3.3.0 (10.3r3). But after contacting support and trying my self to figure out whats happening here, i found the issue, why it’s not updating.
The message i’m getting is as follows:
The CLI “save image https://hivemanager:443/afs/webapp/hiveos/images/AP305C-10.3r3.img.S admin VHM-000001VA passwort *** ….. The Aerohive device was unable to upgrade image to flash memory because there is not enough memory in the device or there is error occued during the file transfer process.
After connecting with CLI the issue is the /dev/root partition which at some firmware, it gets bigger.
New Unit with firmware 10.1.2.0 (10.1r2):
show system disk-info
Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on/dev/root 27.4M 27.4M 0 100% /ubi0:f 321.5M 8.6M 308.3M 3% /f
Fresh unit with firmware updgrade 10.3.3 (10.3r3)
show system disk-info
Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on/dev/root 32.4M 32.4M 0 100% /ubi0:f 321.5M 11.6M 305.3M 4% /f
So my question, we have 18 new units here. Whats the upgrade procedure now? It doesn’t work through WEBBrowser nore from the hivemanager.
Any advise would be helpful.
Best, Fabio

Can someone provide me a firmware which will be compatible from 10.1r1 to ? and then 10.3r3?

Hi
TNX.
https://extremeportal.force.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000078576
→ Plan A → Not working. Starts but updating devices does never come.
→ Plan B → Unable to start SSH and unable to activate SSH through Extreme IQ on premise
→ I was only able upgrade from 10.1r1 to 10.1r2 then from 10.3r1 on i am unable since the firmware is bigger than the 10.1rx.
Any other suggestions? Btw., i am able to upgrade from 10.3r2 to 10.3r3 (existing AP305C). New one with 10.1r1 → issue persists.
Best, Fab
