Extreme Cloud IQ - AP410C-WR interface aggregation

Extreme Cloud IQ - AP410C-WR interface aggregation

Hi team,

I want to connect AP410-C to a VSP with two interfaces, but any time I configure LACP on VSP I lost AP connectivity.

In the AP template I have two possibilities:

- Aggregate

- Redundant

But with it doesnt work with any of them.

So, please, any of you know how to configure LACP on AP410 ?

Thanks in advance!!!

I dont have switch with multirate ports, I only want to configure 2 gigas agregation (2 ports at 1G).

As I see there are two ways of aggregation, "aggregate" and "redundant", but I cant find info about the meaning of them. Which is static? DYnamic? Special bond type?...

I need understand them for configure acordly the switches.

Hello EF,

When configuring aggregate ports the speed on both must match for it to work. The speed of eth0 is 2500 base-t while on ETH1 it's 1000 base-t. In this case ETH0 should be set to 1000 base-t to match the other port, making the total speed for both ports 2000 mbps.

In conclusion, the speed of ETH0 without aggregation is 2500 mbps while when aggregation is enabled you will have a total of 2000 mbps.

Here's at article on same: https://extreme-networks.my.site.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000112554

Hi Chris,

I want understant how them work, what type of bond is "aggregate" and "redundant", Is anyone LACP? Static? Severless?... I need it to configure the switch ports with static or dynamic aggregation or maybe no config is necessary.
