hi, community.

I deploied 4 ap230s at home, 3 of them are almost the same, the last one is a little difference. this one will be utilize  as a simple layer2 switch.

  • eth0 as trunk link to a management switch, which has been config as a trunk port, allow vlan all, native vlanid is 9.
  • eth1 as access link to a computer.
  • mgt0 which is a virtual port bind to eth0 or eth1?

here is my ap’s interface info:

I am confused of port type configuration. how to config them under xiq correctly?

do I have to create a new device template,  clone a new port type template, edit it to suite my need, after that, combine them together. finally assign the new device template to this special ap230. could I just edit this specific ap230’s port type individually?

You can click on the Device an make changes for it without changing the template. You will see XIQ will show you that you only have to upload the new Config only to that changed AP
