Hello Community,
I have a group of AP410i deployed on an office building, with Radio1 configured on 2.4Gz , Radio2 on 5Ghz and Radio3 enabled and configured as sensor.
Some APs reports Radio3 in State OFF like this:
But some of the APs reports Radio3 as State Sensor (Active) like this
All AP are configured with the same profile , how should I configure them to all have the State as Sensor and not OFF.
Thank you in advance for your help and prompt reply.
Alex

We would need to see the config of the WLC, but maybe you enabled the smart sensor feature which will turn on some sensors and not others. ( Check the smart-rf-policy )

Hello Robert,
Thank you for your help.
Here is my smart-rf-policy configuration:
smart-rf-policy default
assignable-power 5GHz max 20
assignable-power 5GHz min 10
assignable-power 2.4GHz max 20
assignable-power 2.4GHz min 10
channel-list 5GHz 36,40,44,52,56,60,64,100,104,108,112,116,120,124,128,132,136,140,149,153,157,161,165
no select-shutdown
no smart-sensor
smart-sensor auto-trigger
smart-sensor band smart-band-5GHz
smart-sensor tri-radio-only
I have no analytics installed on this controller but I understood that having the sensors enabled could help.
I would really appreciate if you have a guide for best practices configuring this sensors (when you don't have ADSP installed) or any other information on this regard.
Thank you,
-Alex
