Connection times out when controller tries to update AP firmware?

AP 7522 (Internal) Firmware: 5.8.5.0
VX9000e Firmware: 5.8.6.5

When controller is set to AutoUpdate AP firmware it keeps timing out trying to update AP firmware?

Get this message: "ap7522-xxxxx . %FWU-3-FWUCOULDNOTGETFILE: Firmware update unsuccessful, couldn't get file, Error reciving file from server af XXXXXXX bytes: Connection timed out

Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks

Hello Martin,
I can advice to make standalone upgrade with FTP that includes an application error correction mechanism.

Aviv

It sure sounds like an MTU problem. Try lowering MTU to 1200 or lower to see if that makes a difference.
Also make sure there is no firewall blocking UDP port 24576.

Hi, How to change controller MTU size by GUI ?

Thanks for advance.

I would collect tech-supports from the VX9E and AP that is not upgrading and open a support case for us to review. Use the following article to export tech-support files from WinG 5 devices:

Hi, Thanks

The APs are 7522E
The manager is VX9000E.

I have tried to set MTU to 1386? Stil the same problem:

ap7522-xxxxx . %FWU-3-FWUCOULDNOTGETFILE: Firmware update unsuccessful, couldn't get file, Error reciving file from server af XXXXXXX bytes: Connection timed out

The AP also wont adopt site configuration.

Thanks,
