Create a SSID and deploy it

Hello,

I never work with WiNG and I'm still a beginner so I'd like to get some help.

Actually we have 3 SSID in our Network (the last computer specialist set that). The config looks like that.

The problem is I can't connect to "CONCIERGE" SSID, it doesn't appear when I try to connect to a SSID. I have anything like that.
At a time, I was able to connect to this SSID, but I had no connection.

Is anyone could explain to me why it doesn't work...?

Thank you

Navigate to Config>DeviceOverride>Radio>Radio1, and see if this wlan3 is assigned or not.

To broadcast SSID, you need not only creating wlan(SSID), but also assigning created wlan setting to radio interface.

hope it helps.

Jo_Biblio,

This WLAN-to-radio mapping is a basic principle in WiNG. Other vendors have similar methodologies but each is a little different.
But the idea, as KK explained, is that you create WLAN Profiles...and then you choose which of those WLAN Profiles you want to map to the different radios on an AP (radio-1, radio-2). FYI, if you ever have an AP with a radio-3, you cannot map a WLAN to it. Radio-3 will only ever be used for 'sensing' purposes for other applications (at least this is correct for all currently existing APs to date).

Also, I noticed that the two WLANs "BIBLIOPUBLIC" and "CONCIERGE" are both assigned to the same VLAN. In this case, it doesn't really serve much purpose to have both SSIDs operating since users connecting to either one simply get placed onto the same VLAN. Is this how you want things to work? Or, should the CONCIEGERGE connection be placing users onto a secured network/VLAN? (I'm assuming that the BIBLIOPUBLIC SSID is placing users onto an unsecured VLAN (10) that you don't have to worry about for security)

This is exactly that thing I needed!

Thank you so much, I couldn't find that alone.

Is it a basic principle in the network or is it related to WiNG?

Thank you again!
