I have no trouble running VX9000 in VMware Workstation, so, yes, it can be done. I'm using Windows 10, but I'm sure Win7 will work okay too.

If the virtual machine is running, you must shut down the virtual machine to change the processor compatibility mode setting.

Hi Ronaldo,,
You have to enable this in BIOS of your PC or consider using Hyper-V.
The virtualization is little tricky and low level so you shall check with vendor of your machine to check what is the BIOS / MB capable of.
Regards,
Ondrej
