Hi Rodrigo,

Very sorry. I do not sure this scenario is possible or not. I did not do the test before.

However, as long as chromecast supports bonjour advertisements we can fit with regular bounjour config. See i.e. this for details. Service name is _googlecast._tcp.local.

Kindly request you could your test on this post.

Many thanks in advanced.

Hi Bin!

I have the next scenario working. 2 groups of switch in stack mode. Both have AP7522 connected and working. Both groups are interconnected by LACP fiber module. All AP7522 are in the same group and have one working like VAP.

both groups share 3 principal vlan. LAN, Wifi Mobile, Wifi Guest.

Chromecast are connected to LAN for access from PC/Notebook Corporative and working fine.

How to permit to the other SSID access to chromecast? is possible?

Thx.

Hi Darrel,

i have a VAP. All client into the same SSID or vlan see the chromcast and client-to-client are enable(verified). But need some extra to work with other SSID? This others SSID they are not connected to each other like guest

And reading the doc now 🙂

Thx.

Hi Rodrigo, you need to enable client-to-client communication on the WiNG network for chromecast to work. Do you have a centralised controller or are you running an AP as a virtual controller?

Also your VLANs will need to route multcast across the approrpriate VLANs. Not Dell-specific but this might help: https://community.extremenetworks.com/extreme/topics/setting_up_inter_vlan_multicast_routing

Thanks,
Darrel.
