Wheres the setting at that makes devices go to pending adoption and lets me confirm them rather than the controller adopting everything that contacts it? And whats the best way to un-adopt access points to get the adaptive license back?

Hello,

To unadopt APs, SSH into them and run the following commands:

#self

#no mint mlcp vlan

#no mint mlcp IP

#com wr

If you’d like the controller to retain the adoption of some APs but prevent others from adopting, either SSH into the new APs and configure the above settings or create a provisioning policy on the controller that will deny adoption to any AP that matches the rule threein.

In either case, the APs will not adopt but at the same time they will not pull any configs off of the controller so will not be operational.

Once you add AAP licenses, either remove the provisioning policy or the mlcp settings and they should be able to readopt.
