Password reset ap-6532

I bought an AP-6532 used, but did not get a password for it. I want to reset the device to factory defaults, but cannot do so, without a password. How do I get a password reset, for this device?

Hi Larry,

You can contact GTAC by email to support@extremenetworks.com with [wing] in your subject title and provide GTAC your AP MAC and S/N GTAC will help you generate reset password for your AP6532.

You can use the reset password in CLI login :
username : reset
password :

The AP-6532 does not a user accessible serial port, rendering factory resets quite challenging. As long as the previous owner has not borked the configuration to the point of disabling the network port, you can reset it with the right software.

You will need the AP Discovery Tool.

Hi Andrew,

this might be an issue for Win7+ (leaked tool / post from 2014)...

If you have an adopting controller (VX demo?!?), better get the AP adopted, configured and... and then buy contract 
