Currently I have some AP7532s set up to send traps to a trap receiver but I am getting a lot of unnecessary information (like client connection info, failed WPA authentications, etc). All I really want is a certain subset of traps, for example - the 50.0.32 subset for Device adoptions/unadoptions/offline/etc. How can I "stop" the AP from sending that information to the trap receiver?

Aaron,
You can create customized Event Policies that will do this for you.
Configuration->Devices->Event Policy
Add a new Policy. Use the "Select Event Module" in the top right corner to select the 'family' of event types...and then begin checking the events that you only want to receive...for the message type you want to use (trap, syslog, Email).
Once you have that Event Policy created, you then need to specify for the AP Profile to use that Event Policy. To do that, go to:
Configuration->Profiles->(Choose an AP Profile)->Management
In the management section, scroll down and look for:
"System Event Messages"
Use the dropdown there to select the Event Policy that you just created.
Commit and Save.
