I have AP 0622. It is running with RFS7000 controller.
Can you tell me, does this device have a standalone os version, or does it have to be run with a controller?
Thanks,

Hello Do,
This is a dependant AP that has to be adopted by a controller to function. It cannot be converted into a standalone unit.
Thank you,

You’d have to search for the datasheet as that’s a very old model. Only certain AP models can act as virtual controllers, and that’s usually reserved for the higher end models.
Note that this link is not provided by Extreme, but here’s a link to the spec sheet: The wording you’d be looking for is “virtual controller,” and this is absent from the spec sheet.
AP 622; COST-EFFICIENT SINGLE RADIO 802.11a/b/g/n WIRELESS ACCESS POINT (barcodesinc.com)
All that said, that AP is only capable of 802.11n. Have you considered upgrading to something more current?
That means AP 0622 cannot run independently, but it must run through the controller. Thanks !
