VX9000 vs AP7602 config status: version-mismatch

Hi !
I have a VX900  with 7.7.0.0 firmware version, and 120 AP7602 with 5.9.1.11 firmware versión ( the latest one).

Tha AP can´t take any reconfiguration, every time i make a change or reconfiguration, the AP don´t do nothing.

In the controller "interface", "system", "adopted devices" i get in the "config status" column the message:  version-mismatch

Thanks in advance

relaxed adoption is supported from 5.9.1
for wing 5 aps i would take the last possible 5.9
for wing 7 aps i would take the last 7.7

Thansk both !

 Yes, I we have 2 diffferent AP´s,
  1. AP7602   177 UNITS
  2. AP310      76 UNITS
We have 12 different RF-DOMAINS, but almost in all we have the 2 models in each rf-domain.
The last WiNG was a 5.8 version, and we try to upgrade to recognice and adopt the 7602, but we lost the configuration changes.

Which version do you recommend to operate acceptable with both AP´s?

Tks.

hi eduardo

as already said, ap7602 is not supported in v7.

but there is a way to still use them > its called "relaxed adoption"

with this you are still able to adopt wing 5 aps to a wing 7 controller.

therefore you need to disable the version check on the controller side (at best in the profile)

command:
enforce-version adoption none

>> BUT BE AWARE

1. it is not allowed to put wing 5 and wing 7 aps into the same rf-domain > each version needs to have its on
2. i´m not sure if it is still supported by extreme

Your controller and APs are running different firmware, that's why you are unable to manage them.

AP7602 is not supported on WiNG 7 so you would have to downgrade the VX9000 to WiNG 5.

Are there any other APs adopted to the VX9000?

Surprisingly the AP7612 is supported on WiNG 7 but the AP7602 isn't eventhough they seem to be very similar devices.
