@Chris Kelly

what new feature add to WiNG 7? I check out the 7.1.0 release notes, doesn’t see any new feature except adport 11ax ap.

Most simply put, WiNG-7 is a continuation of WiNG-5 (it’s not a different OS).  WiNG-7 drops support for older generation/model access points and new features that are developed are put into WiNG-7 and not into WiNG-5.

So, if WiNG-5 is providing you with the features you need and is stable, then you are okay with staying with WiNG-5. But, if you want to use newer model APs (11ax and upcoming 6GHz model APs), these are/will only be supported in the WiNG-7 code. And if there are new features that you want to utilize, you would need to upgrade to WiNG-7.

I am also using wing 5.9. I also wonder if upgrading to wing 7 has many benefits? I am using Ap7562 outdoors
