AP7562 Firmware

Hello,

I have a problem getting the latest firmware for the AP7562.

To the background: I bought two second hand AP7562 from a company.

Unfortunately, this company no longer exists.

These two AP7562 still have a totally outdated firmware installed.

I want to update the two AP7562 for security reasons.

Unfortunately I have no way of downloading the current firmware (AP7562_WiNG_v7.6.0.1.zip) because I don't have a contract with Extreme Networks myself.

The AP7562 are optically and technically new (they were in the warehouse as replacement devices).

It would be a shame not to be able to use the devices (sustainability).

Can someone help me maybe to solve the problem (via PM, if you like)?

Hi everyone,

I'm adding to this thread because I'm experiencing the exact same issue.

I recently purchased an AP-7562-67040-EU, and it arrived with a very outdated firmware version (5.8.4.0-034R), nearly identical to what Janina described in her post from 2021.

Unfortunately, the download links mentioned in this older thread are no longer functional.

Has anyone found a more recent firmware version since 7.6.1.0, and where did you obtain your firmware files?

I'm fully aware that this device is now End-of-Life (EOSL date October 15, 2025), and there's no guarantee of support. However, since these units are functionally new (likely stored inventory), I'd hate to see them unusable due to outdated firmware, especially from a sustainability perspective.

If anyone has tips on where to find the latest compatible image, or if someone still has access to a working download source, I'd greatly appreciate any pointers (even hints).
