Solution
If your system is affected by this issue an RMA will be required. If you would like to proactively upgrade your systems, the below methods are available.
Updating the firmware in the device will prevent the issues described in this release notice.
There are two methods for updating your BMC software:
1. For SLX-OS 20.5.2 and above, the firmware can be updated via SLX-OS commands from the console:
[update bmc firmware <protocol> user < username> password <password> host < host IP> directory < remote directory > file <bmc-image-name> use-vrf < vrf name>]
2. Beginning with SLX-OS 20.6.1, the BMC will be updated along with the upgrade of the SLX-OS firmware. Please refer to the upgrade guide for SLX-OS 20.6.1 for details.
