Summary

After upgrading to either VOSS 9.1.0.0 or 9.1.1.0, VSP 4900 switches with VIM5-4YE module may not establish link properly on VIM ports after a reboot.  If encountered, ports can be recovered by reverting to a software version on the 8.10.x or 9.0.x code stream or upgrading to 9.2.0

Background

An improper initialization of the VIM port speed may occur and prevent the ports on the VIM from establishing link after upgrading a VSP 4900 with VIM5-4YE module to VOSS 9.1.0.0 or 9.1.1.0.

Impact

The software will need to be reverted to a VOSS 8.10.x or 9.0.x code version in order to recover links connected to the VIM module.
