Our Data Centre is hosted for us - as an acronym - IAAS?
A limitation of this is the CIsco VSG firewalling on the cluster is not configured to allow DHCP traffic between our VMs.
This means my newly setup HiveManager VA doesn't get a DHCP assigned IP address like the Quick Start guide assumes it will. So the solution of then setting a Static IP address from the web interface is not possible - I have no IP address bound.
Is there an alternative method of setting the IP address from the console of the appliance - a network config login perhaps ?
Cheers
Ian

During the deployment of the OVA file, were you not given the option to set an IP for it?
Page 7 specifically here?

Hi Brian,
Thanks for the response, but unfortunately no as we are consuming IAAS from a provider. We have limited access.
The solution is to logon at the console using the credentials of netcfg/aerohive
This logon was apparently put into the 12.8.1.2 release.
Cheers
