super slow Backhaul Mesh Link

super slow Backhaul Mesh Link

Hi all,

I have one AP650 and one AP630 (both Wifi6)

the 630 is connected via backhaul to the AP650 on Wifi1 (5ghz)

On cable to 650 is connected to a gigabit network, however the connected clients on 630 only get 60Mbps. the speed is super slow.

any suggestions ?

Should I change the backhaul to 2.4 ghz ?

thank you

Hello @mihai_balaci,

Please start here:

1 - Create a new 5GHZ radio profile and don't use the default one

2 - Disable client access on this radio for now and only enable backhaul

3 - Configure the channel manually on both APs (as an override) selecting channel 149 and above

4 - Enable OFDMA in both directions

5 - Enable DFS channels and change channel width to 40MHz

6 - Disable Frame burst

7 - Make sure you have line of sight between the 2 APs and no obstacles at all

8 - Make sure that both APs are on the same firmware version

Run this command on both APs: #show acsp neighbor

You should see the Backhaul neighbor with the VHM name, check the RSSI to see how low it is.

Test to see if this improves throughput,

BR,

Christoph S.

1. done

2. I'm not sure I follow this: wifi1 has multiple intefaces (1.0,1.1,1.2) backhaul uses wifi1.2 - i still need a 5ghz network for clients

3. done

4. what is OFDMA ? how can I enable this?

5. done

6. done

7. done

8. done - both on the same fw
