I have a growing number of SNMP users. I am not sure where they are coming from. The NetSight SNMPv3 credentials managing the switches is "switchadmin" but I keep getting these guys:
set snmp group admingroup user switchadmin security-model usm set snmp notify TVInformTag tag TVInformTag inform
set snmp targetaddr TVswitchadmin 10.1.0.2 param TV1switchadmin mask 0.0.0.0 taglist TVInformTag nonVolatile
set snmp targetaddr TVswitchadmin= 10.1.0.2 param TV1switchadmin mask 0.0.0.0 taglist TVInformTag nonVolatile
set snmp targetaddr TVswitchadminM 10.1.0.2 param TV1switchadmin mask 0.0.0.0 taglist TVInformTag nonVolatile
set snmp targetaddr TVswitchadminY 10.1.0.2 param TV1switchadmin mask 0.0.0.0 taglist TVInformTag nonVolatile
set snmp targetaddr TVswitchadminw 10.1.0.2 param TV1switchadmin mask 0.0.0.0 taglist TVInformTag nonVolatile
set snmp targetaddr TVswitchadmin~ 10.1.0.2 param TV1switchadmin mask 0.0.0.0 taglist TVInformTag nonVolatile
set snmp targetparams TV1switchadmin user switchadmin security-model usm message-processing v3 privacy
This strange TVswitchadmin user keeps showing up on my switches. It is always a variation of this with some stray characters like TV1switchadmin or TVswitchadmin!
I can clear them out but if I check back in a few weeks they are back. They are all pointing to 10.1.0.2 which is NetSight. It seems NetSight is somehow producing them but I cannot find where or how.

Thanks, that was it! It seemed to be coming from NetSight but I just could not figure out where.

I know you've been with us a while Joshua, but great to see you making your voice heard on the Hub. Good stuff!

Hello,
In NetSight OneView click Administration --> Options --> Traps
Do you have automatic traps configuration enabled?
You can try removing this option to see if it fixes it. If it does I would create a case as it looks like NetSight may be failing to identify traps is already configured and keeps trying to configure them with a slightly different username.
Thanks
-Ryan
