Separate Wireless and Wired End Systems - Extreme Control

Hi All,

Is there anyway this can be done, ideally without having to use a filter everytime I browse to the end systems tab in EMC?

I would like to know how Extreme Control even sees the wireless devices when the controllers arent configured to do mac auth to EMC/EC.

I assume because EMC is managing the wireless controllers it can automatically see all the end systems?

Hello,

If XMC is receiving and processing station events from the Extreme Wireless Controller it will populate this information into the end systems tab.

These are not authentication events.

I believe that you may be able to filter these out by clicking on the EAC in the engines tab and going clicking the end system tab for that EAC. As these events do not "belong" to an EAC appliance.

The article above indicates how to prevent these events from being seen if desired.
