XMC Keeps Running Syslog Receiver Configuration

XMC Keeps Running Syslog Receiver Configuration

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

Have enabled syslog receiver on all switches in the network, but I am continually getting the messages below in XMC syslog. I’ve subsequently unregistered syslog and this seems to have stopped?

Do you know if this is normal?

The issue is with a lot a switches in the network generating these logs creates a lot of noise in the syslogs.

The other question is why is it keeping running the command when syslog is already in place?

Currently running XMC version: 8.1.7.27

Many thanks in advance

Hello Martin,

Check to see if syslog refresh or auto syslog configuration is enabled:
