Hi,
we are deploying our access points directly in XIQ. Everything works great, but I wondered how or if I can change the default naming template for the AP hostname. Currently, the hostname of the devices is automatically set to
%First3CharsFromBuildingName%-%Floor%-%Last4DigitsSerialNumber%
It would be great if we could set up a hostname naming template for the devices that are assigned to a building/floor.
Best regards
Stefan

Hi @Christoph_S ,
thanks for the answer. Okay do you know if there is an forum or board where i could raise an feature request for that?
Best regards

Hi @netjradm, we don't have a forum board for feature requests today, but that is something we plan to bring to the community in the future. Sorry we don't have what you're looking for today, but I would recommend filing the feature request via the link Christoph kindly provided.

Hello @netjradm,
I don't believe that the default naming convention in XIQ can be modified. You have the option to onboard the APs via a CSV file in which you can add the hostnames of your APs.
This may help: https://extreme-networks.my.site.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000106732
