Hi Team
We need to add 5320 and x440-g2 switches that are already working in Onprime; however, the customer needs to transfer to the XIQ cloud solution. We have the following queries.
1. How to migrate onprime to the cloud without losing existing configuration.
2. After adding to the XIQ cloud, do I assume that any configuration changes I make in the CLI will be reflected in the cloud?

Hi,
When you push configuration from XIQ to the switch there would be update fail information every time you change part of switch configuration defined in Network Policy/Device Template settings with information about detected differences. You can only override manual changes on the switch to force align with XIQ. So just use CLI to change things which are not managed by XIQ. You can also store this config as Supplemental CLI in XIQ.

Hello Bartek I appreciate your response.
All configuration will be lost if we add a prime configured switch to XIQ and apply it to a policy. Could you recommend the most effective method for moving the Onprime switch to XIQ managed with all current configurations?

Hi,
As I said - XIQ manages only configuration maintained by Switch Template and Network Policy settings. So just make sure that:
XIQ is designed to manage very simple switch configurations. If you need more sophisticated management software (switch config backup/restore, Policy manager, Network Maps, Compass, Scripts and Workflows, Analytics) then switch to XIQ-SE which offers much more features (it requires local VM + one additional XIQ-Pilot license to run)
