Radio power being limited on some APs not others

Seeing the following warning in buffered log on some APs

Warning - ah_dcd: wifi: wifi1: Power 16 exceeds HW limit(14), forced to 14

Region Code: FCC

Country Code: 840

I’ve checked and have other APs, same model, FW, etc. that are running at powers all the way up to 20. Any ideas why some APs acting differently?

I was able to determine this is only happening on ch36 when radio is set to 40MHz wide.

GTAC closed the case after stating it was FCC regulation, as the regulatory limit reported in CLI is 14. I’ve reached out to my SE to see if he’s able to provide any more detailed info.

Hi

Is this a specific model, as the AP150W is limiting its wifi1 intro 8dBm but other APs in same VIQ and radii profile at operating tat the max power in the radio profile.
APs powered by AC power, one is powered by poe+.

Hi @w1f1n00b, it shouldn’t be regulated differently based on what I’m seeing in the 802.11 a/h/j/n/ac/ax documentation. If you have the time to look in to this, I’d recommend pulling some tech data and opening a case so we can dig in to this with you a bit more.

@Sam Pirok , any idea if ch36 is regulated differently than other UNII-1 channels in USA?
