Hello,
Working on NAC, phones and PCs are daisy-chained.
With static configuration (LLDP/voice-vlan), phone traffic is usually tagged on voice vlan/i-sid.
With NAC, both data and voice traffic is untagged and MHMV (multi-host multi-vlan) seems to kick in.
Is this the right thing to do? Any drawbacks? Both hosts see each other's broadcast traffic for example I guess. Any way to have no static configuration and have the voice VLAN tagged still?
How are you guys doing this?
Platform is VOSS/FabricEngine. Version: 8.8 (FE) / 22.9 (XIQ-SE).

In the past, some phones were heavily impacted by multicast and broadcast traffic. If the phone data can be separated by VLAN tag then the phone was much happier.

Ok, so how do we force the phone to use tagged traffic without knowing the VLAN/I-SID in advance as we host several phone networks and several PBXes 🙂
