Applying/Updating a .pol file

Hello, I have a .pol applied for ssh access which is working with a bunch of IP's allowed access. But I can't find a way to update the file while live. I can add to the file a new IP or range, exit with :wq. It seems to write the file, but any new allowed IP's do not work unless I reboot the switch. 

Is there a way to apply the new changes inline without a reboot? Or do they apply after a certain amount of time?

I know this sounds bad, but have you unconfig/config the access-list associated with the .pol file?

Simply do refresh policy <policy name> and after that it will apply the changes.
