Deseo ingresar al switch Extreme XOS sin perder la configuración guardada

Quise cambiar la contraseña del switch, ejecuté el comando:

configure account <user> encrpted <password>

He leido que ya no podré ingresar, porque la contraseña que puse la ha guardado encriptada, por eso no permite loguearme.

Yes, by using the command "configure account <user> password encrypted <password>" you are telling the switch you have a password that has already been encrypted before.  So the string that is being entered as the password is seen as an already encrypted string and will not be encrypted anymore by the switch. This also means that you will not be able to log-in if you attempt to put the same string into the password-prompt when trying to access the switch as the switch will encrypt the phrase you are entering at the login-prompt and they will not match. That's why you locked yourself out.

You should have used "configure account <user> password <password>" instead without the "encrypted" keyword.

This is explained in this article: https://extreme-networks.my.site.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000077388

If you are locked out, it's best to get in touch with GTAC to assist you, so you can get back into the switch.
