while the image-name might be the same (which may be what XIQ-SE is looking at), the x670-G2 chipset does not support 32.x or higher..the removal of support for the x670-G2 is mentioned in the 32.1 release notes as well..
number 3 sounds like a dead CMOS battery.. as long as the power-cable is connected the switch can retain the info on which config file to boot, but once the power cable is pulled due to the dead CMOS battery that can't be retained.
