Extreme XOS STP setup with existing Enterasys network

When I loop a switch, I want the port to go down and stay down. This doesn't work in 16.1.2.14-patch1. The port comes back up and loops the network after a few seconds. These x460G2's are integrating with an existing Enterasys network with one MSTI.

I would love to use ELRP, but we are going to be using policy. When you use policy, ELRP no longer functions. That is apparently by design, or so I have been told.

I use the config:

configure elrp-client periodic ports all interval 1 log-and-trap disable-port permanent

This works
