Is there a way to forward wake on LAN packets across VLANs?

We are replacing a Cisco network and the customer currently has 8 helper addresses on the server VLAN. When we asked for clarification we were told it is setup that way to allow their FOG server to wake devices across the network.

You may also be able to use Directed Broadcast.
