Latest available Firmware Version for Summit x250e-48p as private person

Hello everyone,

i was able to get an old Extreme Summit x250e-48p of my business as its outdated, and not needed.

show version
Switch : Rev 6.0 BootROM: 1.0.5.7 IMG: 12.1.1.4
Image : ExtremeXOS version 12.1.1.4 v1211b4 by release-manager on Tue Apr 29 17:46:58 PDT 2008

The problem i have is the following, i just finished my apprenticeship about 2 months ago, but still want to learn more about firewalls and switches. As i was able to get the switch and found a firewall, i wanted to update them as it is the best for security reasons, but wasn't able to find any firmware download for the ExtremeNetworks.
Now my question is, wether it is possible to get some current/the latest firmware for this device as its currently running some really old version (as i guess?). 
I hope you can help me advancing my knowledge.

Hello!

The last version of code the x250 will ever be able to run is EXOS 15.3.5.2-patch1-19 as indicated here:

However, you will no longer be able to find this software on any Extreme Networks website as:
A) This switch/software are long past their end-of-life date

B) Extreme Networks can no longer distribute this code due to the following issue:

Due to the above, Extreme Networks will no longer provide any software downloads for this switch.

Hello Gabriel,

thank you for taking your time.

I know that it is EoL, but had hoped to be able to get at least the latest firmware available, as 12.x is still older than 15.x.

And as I was not able to find any EXOS online to download I had hoped, somebody/someone would be able to kind of hand it over.

But I'm still thankful for taking your time and giving me an answer.

Unfortunately, Extreme will be unable to provide any of this software due to this issue:

And sharing Extreme software outside of the official software portal (including places like this forum) is forbidden by the software EULA, which Extreme enforces fairly heavily. That's not to say that you can't find this software elsewhere on the Internet, but you will not find it on this forum or any other Extreme site, unfortunately.
