Hello,
I am trying to get information about port mirroring limitations in X440-G2 and X460-G2 series switches.
Also, is there differences between models (12, 24, 48 ports)?
Thanks
Andrea

Hi Andrea,
Please see Limits chapter here: https://documentation.extremenetworks.com/release_notes/ExtremeXOS/30.6/downloads/ExtremeXOS_30.6_Re...
Hope that helps,

Thanks Alexandr
Therefore in any model I can enable at least one instance of port mirroring “Many to One” ingress + egress.
Right?
Regards
Andrea

Hello!
Main diference between X440 and X460 - egress mirrore instances:
X440 - 1
X460 - 2
Main limitation in picture below:
Also, if you configure one-to-many mirroring (same copies of packets forwading to different porrts) you have to reserve some loopback-port (as mirroring is done in hardware and has no impact on the CPU).
Also VLAN mirroring only for ingress traffic.
Also untagged frames may be seen with 802.1q tags in the mirrored traffic.
Thank you!
