We have a number of Yealink VoIP phones connected to x440-G2 switches. Our current LLDP settings are:
configure lldp port 1:1 advertise port-description
configure lldp port 1:1 advertise system-capabilities
configure lldp port 1:1 advertise management-address
configure lldp port 1:1 advertise vendor-specific dot1 vlan-name
It was recently suggested that we should add the lines below, but we aren’t exactly sure what they are used for and/or if there is a need. Can anyone offer some insight on which of these are really needed?
configure lldp port 1:1 advertise vendor-specific dot3 power-via-mdi with-classification
configure lldp port 1:1 advertise vendor-specific med power-via-mdi
configure lldp port 1:1 advertise vendor-specific med capabilities

I guess technically speaking, they are for POE+, which in EXOS, can only be negotiated by LLDP.

Our phones are PoE (getting power from the switch and not from a power supply connected to the phone) and are working fine without the power related commands in the second section, which is why we wondered if they really are needed or recommended.

The bottom commands are for POE and the top commands are for VOIP. I’d advise looking at this article more closely:
