LAG vlans and core port vlans

Hello Everyone,

Quick question  - I have come across a couple of LAGs on my 8400c switch.  I can see the vlans associated with the lags.

However, on the uplink port to the core switch, the vlans are not the same as the LAG vlans.

Can anyone help me understand why this would be as I would expect the all LAG vlans to be available via the uplink core port?

Thanks,

Hello Asifi,

You can do "show interfaces gigabitEthernet vlan 1/5-1/10" with or without ports to see the vlan(s) assigned to a port.

Hello Asifi,

You are not providing much of information but what you see can be explained when your VSP8400C switch is up-linked to a SPBM backbone, then you will only find two VLAN's configured on the NNI backbone uplink port(s), these two vlan's are used exclusively used by SPBM and cannot be used for CNI client traffic.

It looks like you are new to "VOSS/FABRIC ENGINE", in that case I recommend to read some manuals to understand how SPBM works and how it can make your life very simple.

Hi WillyHe,

I did initially add in all the details and the reply got rejected as spam.  I replied about an hour ago too and this to does not look to have gone through as I cannot see this on any replies I have sent.

Not sure what is happening.

I'll try again later.

Thanks,
