Hi Everyone,

Just running into a problem with SSH'ing into a a VRRP address on a VSP-8404C switch.

By default, on our old Nortel Cores... no commands are required to SSH or Telnet into the VRRP IP address. I've tried searching for Extreme VSP solutions, but have only found resolutions for Exos.

Thanks

You should not really do management on the VRRP Virtual IP address.
If the VSP is an IP router, define a loopback /32 and use that for management and use that as the IP which is advertized in LLDP and Topology announcements.
Looking forward, in VPOSS8.1 we will start supporting a segmented mgmt IP interface, which means you will be able to define the box mgmt IP as either in a VLAN or in a VRF/GRT as a loopback. From then on Telnet/SSH/SNMP will no longer be processed on VLAN IP interfaces used to IP route traffic (let alone VRRP ones) but exclusively on that segmented mgmt IP.
