Migration of AP4000 from On Prem Extreme IQ Cloud Controller to ExtremeCloud IQ

Hi all, we currently have 300+ AP4000 Access Points running locally on Extreme IQ cloud controller. I want to migrate all APs off of the controller into XIQ. All APs are in a provisioned state within XIQ at the moment. I have the network policy ready. Could anyone advise How I remove them from Local IQ Cloud Controller and migrate them into XIQ to be fully managed.

To migrate your AP4000 Access Points from the local IQ Cloud Controller to ExtremeCloud IQ (XIQ), follow these steps:

 

Access the Local IQ Cloud Controller:

Log in to your local IQ Cloud Controller where the AP4000 devices are currently managed.

 

Release APs to Cloud:

Navigate to the device management section.

Select the AP4000 devices you wish to migrate.

Choose the option to "Release to Cloud" or "Release to XIQ" (terminology may vary).

This action will reset the APs to factory settings and prepare them for cloud adoption.

 

Onboard APs to XIQ:

Log in to your ExtremeCloud IQ account.

Go to the "Manage Devices" section.

Use the "Advanced Onboarding" feature to add the APs by entering their serial numbers or uploading a CSV file.

Ensure that the APs are assigned to the correct network policy and device group.

 

Verify and Monitor:

Once onboarded, monitor the APs to ensure they are operating correctly.

Apply any necessary configurations or updates through XIQ.

 

Regarding Magis TV Gratis, it's essential to ensure that your network infrastructure supports high-bandwidth streaming, especially for 4K UHD content. Upgrading your APs to XIQ-managed devices can enhance network performance and stability, providing a better streaming experience for applications like Magis TV.
