Does anyone know what the different settings mean on the Enterasys Captive portal page? I am trying to creat a Guest SSID with authentication, but not sure what some of the settings mean?
What is "Bridge Traffic Locally at HWC" mean? What "Interface IP" are they asking for? The IP of my controller? And what do I put for "VLAN ID"? Is that my wireless vlan?

I can probably help you out remotely either weekends or before or after normal work hours EST. Let me know if you want help.

Laura:
It depends on your experience. If you have inherited this controller and are just trying to get your head around it I think you should get yourself into one of Extreme's training sessions. You will need to do a 4-5 day session to get you head around this thing even if you have prior networking experience.
If that is not in the cards you should get some help from someone who is familiar with the system. You could hire a consultant or actually hire Extreme to help you. When I first took on my controller I had experience in networking but still needed to go through a training before I was comfortable.

Thanks for all the help. I guess I just don't understand how all the pieces tie together and what each section does, like the Topologies section or the Roles, Classes of Service, Virtual Networks, WLAN Services....I don't even know what I am looking at on this page.
