Disable Bonjour Self-Registered Service

Disable Bonjour Self-Registered Service

I have one AP230 in my environment that for some reason is advertising "Configure AP". I haven't been able to figure out what is different about this AP compared to all the others. Does anyone know how to disable this service advertisement?

I do not have Bonjour Gateway enable on any APs.

I have disable the web UI (no webui enable).

#show bonjour-gateway service local

I'm still having this issue even after resetting the device to factory defaults, even before applying my config.

One interesting thing I've noticed is that when the AP is restored to factory settings and rebooted, it advertises that service on reboot.

I'm not sure why the ah_bgd service is running and seems intent on creating this service advertisement.

Hello @SamD,

If it's one AP out of many, you may want to try the following:

1 - Revert device to template defaults: https://extreme-networks.my.site.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000095853

2 - Reset it back to factory defaults and have it pull the configs again: https://extreme-networks.my.site.com/ExtrArticleDetail?an=000069780

BR,

Christoph S.

I reset the config to default using the CLI and reloaded the config, but it is still advertising "Configure AP XXXXXX". I do not have this AP connected to Extreme Cloud IQ so I don't have a way to reset the device template. Any other ideas?
