Furthermore, I would recommend not to go beyond 15 dBm (32 mW) if you the AP is used for access of mobile devices.
Networking is always a two-way communication.
So if the AP is transmitting with 30 dBm (1 Watt) you may have a good signal at the client side.
But how about the answer from the client to the AP?
Most mobile devices don't have more than 15 dBm (32 mW) output power.
So in the case that AP and mobile device do have the same receiver sensitivity and the AP is transmitting
with 30 dBm. The AP will "hear" the mobile device with 15 dB less signal strength.
Is this really what you are looking for?
I always recommend that the AP should not exceed the maximum output power of the mobile devices,
so the "transmitting distance" is somehow equal...
