We currently have a site with a number ap7522 APs running version 5.9.1.2-006R. Im aware these are end of life and really should be replaced.
One of the APs has become faulty and the client is looking to replace it. Obviously, due to the EOL nature we can not just do a like for like swap.
If we purchased an AP of a newer model and add it to the network, would the Virtual Controller on the EOL AP be able to handle the newer model of AP?
If not, if we made the new AP the VC, would it be able to handle the old EOL APs?

Hello MF1,
Yes, you can purchase an AP310I/E, AP410i/e or AP510, turn them in to the VC and adopt the AP7522 AP using the ANYAP profile. You will have to upgrade the lot to the latest 7.7.1.x firmware though.
